High Plains Ag Conference set for Dec. 2 in Lubbock

The multi-county event is being conducted by the AgriLife Extension offices in Lubbock, Floyd, Crosby and Hale counties.
Five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered (one in laws and regulations, two in integrated pest management and two in general). Certified Crop Advisors can also receive five continuing education unit credits (1.5 in crop management and 3.5 in pest management).
The morning topics will include talks on cattle parasites, alternative crops, plant fungal diseases and weed management.
The afternoon topics will include recommendations for native and improved grass, and indentifying and controlling oak wilt.
Preregistration received by Nov. 30 is $35 and includes lunch. Late registration is $45 with no lunch guaranteed.
