Lamb County farm tour set for Sept. 11
LITTLEFIELD – The Texas AgriLife Extension Service office in Lamb County will conduct a cotton termination training and farm tour starting from the Littlefield Country Club at 9 a.m. Sept. 11.Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available.
The program will begin with an integrated pest management update followed by a tour of several cotton variety plots located near Littlefield, and a cotton termination presentation by Dr. Randy Bowman, AgriLife Extension cotton specialist at Lubbock.
The meeting will conclude with a hamburger lunch courtesy of First United Bank of Littlefield. Other sponsors are Wilbur-Ellis of Littlefield and Crop Production Services of Fieldton.
